It was a day like any other in Japan. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and no galactic supervillains attempted to annihilate Tokyo in pursuit of the Legendary Silver Crystal. However, although there was no immediate threat, danger always lurks where there is power. Whether it be in the form of 'big evil' or a friend-turned-foe, the Sailor Guardians will never let down their guard in their goal of protecting the princess of the Moon Kingdom and future queen of Crystal Tokyo. Or, so it seemed...
After Chaos's defeat, the 20th century is at peace. Chibi-Usa returns to her time after assisting Eternal Sailor Moon, the Sailor Guardians resume their normal lives, and Usagi and Mamoru continue to fall further in love. This is until a new great mystery emerges, and it seems blatantly undefeatable. Even the power of the Legendary Silver Crystal has somehow managed to be overcast. The Guardians are taken, one by one, with the energy of their Crystals being released into the cosmos. When Eternal Sailor Moon reaches her lowest, begging for mercy from her assailant, an enigmatic trio of Guardians appear, saving Sailor Moon and vanishing as quickly as they came. Now, as well as the disappearances, the Guardians must determine whether these new characters are friend or foe.
