Kris, for the past 2 days, haven't had their autonomy for quite some time. Their soul had been making choices for them that they'd rather have not been made. However, after the Queen's battle, wake up in the overworld, confused and disorientated, but.... with free will, again? They would be happy, but it's cut short when they realize that what they hoped for came with a strange price. A price that they hope they can get rid of soon before things go awry.

A choice that matters (Kris x Reader)
(Y/n) was born and raised in the dark world. Though she never really met her parents and was raised by basically everyone in the card castle to become a royal guardian. Then the king of spades imprisoned the other three kings and made another dark fountain. (Y/n), who was only 6 years old, understood that this certainly isn't what she was born for, so she ran away followed by the guards to bring her back. The young girl was about to get caught when a sweet goat kid hid her in his secret kingdom. Thanks to that rescue, (Y/n) promised the 5 years old prince of darkness to be in her eternal projection. Together, they wait for the legendary heroes to seal the fountain again and save the world. But when she met them, or at least a certain 16 years old boy, she felt this strong feeling in her chest. Feeling soulless and empty after it's removal. Susie, Kris' new friend, had been wondering of his constant emotionless state. But out of character for her, she helped him through it without prying. But the more Kris refuses The Player's plans, the more The Player gets stronger.
