Riley Ivy Morgan hasn't had the easiest life.
After an unforeseeable assault at a University party, she is far from control, and spiralling down a dangerous path.
When Olivia Benson, a detective from Manhattan Special Victims Unit shows up, Riley is unreachable, having barricaded herself in her bathroom, refusing to listen, unable to trust another person again.
A series of unfortunate events follow, and Riley finds herself in the care of Olivia, who vows to keep her safe no matter the cost.
Riley is ashamed, terrified and grateful toward Olivia, who continues to support Riley through new struggles and challenges. Despite Olivia's efforts, Riley is still spiralling down a path that may end in disaster.
Can Olivia help Riley recover from the trauma that she has endured, and the pain she has to take, or will it become too much?
