LORRAINE (LORI) JEAN DREVIN was only 17 when she was killed on her prom night in 1988. Lori was the town's weirdo. Lori's life has been overshadowed by tragedy and rumor. Born in 1970, her father was killed under mysterious circumstances before she was born. Whispers around Split River suggest that her mother was responsible for his death, casting a long shadow over Lori's reputation. Despite her mother's name, the stigma clung to Lori throughout her school years, marking her as an outcast among the world . But, Lori decided to challenge her family's tarnished legacy by running for prom queen. Her campaign was met with skepticism and hostility throughout the school especially Monica Steele, the self proclaimed queen bee. Despite the odds, Lori remained determined, viewing the title as a chance to redefine herself and prove her worth beyond the rumors, and finally free the Drevin name from the maroon of blood. The night of the prom, Lori's aspirations turned into a fight for survival. As blood soaked down her dress, in her final moments, Lori discovered that the murder was orchestrated the wannabe school Prom Queen herself, Monica, who was determined to ensure she would secure the crown. Police ended the dance with the detainment of the school janitor, Mr Gary Loomis, for the homicide, ruling it first degree murder. Two deaths in five years didn't look good for the school especially with it being the second homicide in just twenty years. The buzz around the murder subsided with the quick closing and execution of Mr Loomis and people forgot about the Split River High Senior Prom Tragedy. But the dead don't forget. BURIED IN SATIN [WALLY CLARK X FEM OC] DISCLAIMER: Lori Drevin is heavily inspired backstory wise and character wise by R.L. Born between Elena and Jeremy, Vivien is the typical middle child. Impulse, sarcastic, and neglected. The story told from Vivien's perspective, who's an unreliable narrator, is revolving mostly about her struggles to fit into the life she was put into. Her entire life, she assumed that she was just a little mentally ill, when in reality, she was living with supernatural powers nobody gave her information about. Tragically fitting for V, she can't fly or make wishes. No, Vivien knows about death. Visions about brutal murder since kindergarten, centuries old ghosts she thought were imaginary friends and killer unintentionally outing themselves to her with their "skin peeling" as Vivien gracefully calls it. She wouldn't believe it herself, but Vivien will have love interests. Damon Salvatore and Rebekah Mikaeldottir will be the ones to violently force into her head that she is not unlovable. Close by her side is her best and for a certain time, only friend Tyler. As the story continues, Vivien's personality and mindset will develop drastically much. This story will be violent and cruel, and I promise you'll cry. Vivien is an accurate representation of trauma responses, and you should really only read this if you want to cry. Vivien is a messed-up teenager and thinks deeply in her heart that she doesn't deserve to live, so you must be patient with her. Might be annoying at times, but she'll grow on you. Warnings for tvd fans: I don't think much of glorification. Even if they're popular in the fandom, abusers abuse, bullys bully, and everyone screws up sometimes. No Elena slander or romanticising abusers. I'm not afraid to kill off main characters. You can expect many plot twists, violence and know I have twisted humour. I don't own the rights over any characters besides Vivien and neither about the plot lines. Those rights go to the writers and the producers of the vampire daries.
