You hated him with all your heart. Just because of an incident that happened 2 years back. Though he tried apologising, many times, you never listened. However, in Grade 11, Semester 2, a sudden change of schedules and seatings allowed him to spend more time with you. When he tries explaining his excuses for his mistakes, he mentions something that catches your attention. You decide to force him to let you check it out. What you didn't know was that you were about to unravel the dark secrets of your boarding school.
"You stood next to him, staring at the beautiful sun setting before your eyes. He turned to you. "So.. uhm. I just wanted to ask you.. if- I mean, may I- Could I, take you to the Winter Dance?" He stammered, taking out a white rose from his pocket and holding it out for you. You could tell that he was nervous, he was fidgeting and didn't dare look you in the eye. His warm breath turned into frosty air when he exhaled. Snowflakes landed on your thick layers of clothes and the floor beneath you. You were stunned. Not knowing what exactly to do, you just stood there. Upon snapping back to reality, you smiled at him. You took the flower from him and replaced it with your own hand. "Sure.. why not?".
