Prologue Fifteen years had passed since King Aethon Draevanar, the last true-born Dragon Rider, drew his final breath. His death had not merely left a kingdom mourning-it had shattered the balance of power. The throne, meant to pass to his daughter, Crown Princess Isolde, had instead been seized by her half-brother, a boy raised under the shadow of ambition and treachery. The usurper's reign had been shaped not by his own will, but by the hand of Queen Dowager Mirelva Morvaine, his mother. A woman of cunning and cruelty, she saw Isolde and her children as nothing more than obstacles to her son's rule. The queen dowager had waged her silent war for years, her whispers turning once-loyal allies into spies, her gold buying steel to cut down threats before they could rise. Isolde had survived. But survival came at a price. For almost eighteen years, she had remained in hiding, a shadow in her own kingdom, her once-gilded existence reduced to secrecy and fear. Not for herself, but for her children. The firstborn, a girl with the unmistakable features of King Aethon-his almost crimson eyes, his golden blonde hair-had been declared dead. It was the only way to protect her. Yet the blood of dragons did not fade so easily. The winds carried whispers of a storm rising. Of fire yet to be rekindled. And of a princess who was never meant to be queen, but who would soon have no choice but to become one. Because the queen dowager's hunt was not over. And neither was Isolde's fight.

There were two babes in the Tower of Joy. Two babes tied so closely to their parents, Ned had to make the decision. One with hair like raven feathers, eyes as grey as steel, and a face of a true Stark. The other, with hair like moonlight, eyes like an indigo pool, and every delicate feature that the Targaryens held above all else. Aegon and Visenya. The prince(ss) that was promised. -- Rhaella made a choice that day Rhaegar's heir arrived on Dragonstone; to forever hide the parentage of Visenya Targaryen and to cut her completely from the prophecy her son was so dedicated to. Visenya Targaryen, Daughter of Lyanna and Rhaegar Targaryen was no more; in her place grew Rhaenar Waters, bastard daughter of The Mad King and soon to be heir apparent. -- Incest warning, major character deaths, gore, smutty scenes... typical Game of Thrones warnings Runs on a similar line to Daenerys but with changes and different pairings and decisions. I won't lie, there is a whole host of relationships and funny business going on with this book; so expect Jon, Mero, Oberyn, and Drogo at the very least. AN: I'm going to be honest with you, this is a long and wild ride that you may or may not read. It goes through each season episode by episode and takes Daenerys place with different outcomes. There are multiple endings for those who either don't mind Incest, or would prefer to completely steer clear. It's completely up to you. So if you read, thank you so much; and if you don't, I hope you find the right story for you if this isn't the one.
