A millennium has passed since we last saw the Mane 6, so reasonably, things are no longer as they were... at least not since the war. After the crystals drained all the magic from Equestria, and with it the memories of all the surviving ponies, they would rely entirely on the books in their libraries kept safe. But, what would happen if there were bugs around that got rid of them? Or worse, what if they manipulated them?

But, further on I started to think back on the new world introduced in that Equestria Girls film. All was well in my life, new friends, new adventures... until my accident on our first group camping trip. Unfortunately, I awoke with amnesia, so I had no recollection of how I'd even survived the accident. I had no idea where I was either, as I was extremely disoriented when I eventually woke up. I didn't see my car anywhere, which scared me a bit. It wasn't until I noticed the sensation of where I am... to where I once was. I panicked harshly when the world looked different to what I thought I was used to. I found myself making friends with some local school girls. They felt familiar, just like the world, but I had no idea who they were. All I could do was trust them, thinking that I'm a part of this world now. But I eventually, albeit briefly, get the sneaking suspicion that I'm not welcome here, or that I'm not supposed to have powers.

A few years after the events of 'The Ending of the End', Twilight Sparkle, now crowned the new ruler of Equestria, faces a rather simple, but boring, lifestyle as a queen. Even when she was the princess of friendship, she has sort of missed all the good times she had with her old friends. Yet, despite this, some questions still linger on: Who is she? What will Equestria be like as a result of her actions? What will become of everyone else? It's there Twilight and Spike traverse to the future and finds that her teachings on friendship and harmony have been replaced with paranoia and mistrust, as the three pony kinds - Earth ponies, pegasi and unicorns - live separated from one another.
