This story takes place in the same universe as both my novel »The legacy« and its sequel »The Grassland Homes« .
It takes a deep dive into a lot of the lore before the main events of »The Legacy« take place, focusing specifically on an (as for this description) anonymous narrator and their lifetime events leading up to their first official "screen time" relatively towards the middle-end of the main book.
I know this doesn't technically give y'all much idea of what this is about, but you'll find out if you get on to reading it.

The children were named the true heir, therefore they were hunted. No hunter was more well known than the bitch, the baddest; Methaya. Being half human, half snake, her luminescent eyes turned the living into the inanimate. To save her children, the Queen of the planet rifted her children into Earth, where they lived for 500 years, unaware of their cursed destiny. After a prophecy declaring that the oldest would die, the truth started unravelling and they learnt things- that would change things forever. Everyone loved the "pure and perfect" heroine-except me. I was just a reader who got sick of watching the tragic villainess twin be humiliated, heartbroken, and killed for daring to want love. So, I tossed the book in the trash... and woke up as her. With a sassy system, twisted fate, and a burning grudge, I'm done playing the role of the jealous loser. Now? The villain chases after me like a man starved. The male lead can't stop falling in love. And the heroine? She's not so beloved anymore. This Shouldn't Work, But Here We Are
Okay, here's the deal: Each chapter in this story is inspired by a different flock member's suggestion. I asked them to come up with a genre and prompt without knowing what the previous chapters were like. The result? Pure chaos. The chapters can be read as standalone stories or as one big narrative, but with a hilariously unreliable narrator. If I manage to make this story flow smoothly, I deserve an award, honestly. As the narrator, I'm tempted to simply write "Middle Finger" because that is essentially what you'll feel like I'm giving you in telling this story. However, for the sake of not being a complete dick, I'll write a little more than just a description of a disrespectful gesture. This story can aptly be described as crude and deranged. As you may have surmised, a crazy person will be telling this story, and the characters involved are indeed also all crazy in their own special ways. So, given this exercise in mental illness, the topics touched on (in no particular order) in this tale are destruction, death, superpowered wackos, torture, pain, loneliness, chaos, the will to survive, never giving up, giving up and not giving a shit, the desire to protect, failing to protect and causing more trouble than was already present, disappointing and/or abusive parental figures, bullies, unjust punishments, just punishments, racism, violent and usually superpowered fights, sci-fi gadgets, bitterness, sarcasm, twisted and demented comedy, control or lack thereof, weird and awkward high school drama, lies and brainwashing, alien aggression, moral ambiguity, unhinged villains, fantastical weapons, a piece of shit main character, conditional friendship, a fuck load of musical references, anger, fear, depression, extra-dimensional creatures, godly powers, various esoteric connections, pop culture references, and of course, in general, superpowers.Complete
