Dragons at Hogwarts
The Elder Dragons are an old race, as old as the magic that permeates this world. They are the oldest of races and in the times of fire and lava at the formation of this world, they were there, and they developed hard scales, harder than diamond, and wings to fly above the fire and death in the burning world below. Then the fire went and the lava cooled, and the Earth was still. And the Elders remained. The ice spread from the north, coating the Earth in frost, and the Elders developed fire as a way to remind themselves of their beginnings and keep warm on the merciless ice. Then, as the seasons of the earth changed and the humans came from the trees and built on the land, the Elders developed their ability to change into these new creatures and back into their true selves at will. Some split off at this point, becoming dumber and cruder, and lost the title of Elder. As the humans became smarter and were able to wield the magic of this world, the Darkest of all, the darkness without a name, came unto this world, and the Elders met their match. In the first time in millennia the Elder Dragons were afraid. They were driven to near extinction, until they retreated from this earth, and flew away, lost, leaving their cousins, the dragons, behind. But one remains. She doesn't know the secrets of her race, the secrets of the world she finds herself in. Under the rule of a Dragon Riders and Magicians, young 14 year old Thea finds herself pulled into the Dragon Riders world. After her brother dies she finds a dragon and looks after it, but it was the Dragon Riders who killed him. When she finds herself becoming a Dragon Rider, she fights them off however she is captured. Thea soon finds herself surrounding by new people and dragons. As Thea learns more she makes new friends and tries to figure out ways to defeat the Dragons Riders, and joined by her friends she rebels against their rule. But when no one has their own dragon? Yeah things get a little tricky then. Snow Storm is Thea's own dragon, however they were separated and Storm has to first escape the clutches of the Magicians and Dragon Riders. Easier said then done, especially when he wants to help the other dragons. Storm and Thea are on a journey to find each other but both of them are putting their friends before them. While learning more about dragons Thea finally understands what is really happening. This a story based on the book series Wings Of Fire, obviously. In this universe, most of the canon events didn't happen, and are instead replaced by my own original stories and characters. No canon characters from the books exist in this world. There is at least one fantribe in this world, that fantribe belonging to me. Mud'wings don't exist in this world, because i have an unexplained hatred for them. When the woman presents him a silver dragon egg and it hatches Kumaglak becomes one of the legendary warriors who swore to protect Erdas, and know Kumaglak must take up the mantel with two other kids from Erdas. Kaya is a six year old from Arctica and younger twin sister to her older twin brother Korren, and future chief of Arctica. Kaya has always stayed in the shadows not wanting to be seen as Korren's little sister. She wanted to be something more. She wanted to be a Dragon Rider after she heard the stories about them from some traders from Eura, who come to Arctica to trade with the villages. Kaya's prayers to Suka the Polar Bear, one of the fifteen Great Beasts, are answered when a woman claiming to be Dragon Rider comes to their village. When Kaya touches a dark purple dragon egg and it hatches Kaya becomes one of the legendary Dragon Riders. Nimue is a non important six year old from Oceanus. She is always swimming in the ocean where she feels comfortable, but on land with people she never feels comfortable, especially when the so called people are whispering about her calling her a freak and a witch. Nimue wanted to get away from her old life and her parents. She spent almost every waking moment in the ocean to get away from her village. Nimue's wish however comes true when she touches a dark blue dragon egg from a Dragon Rider, and it hatches for her. This a fanfic of Wings of Fire, Spirit Animals, and The Inheritance Cycle.
