Emerson Hayes is a shy, naïve, and introverted young man attending one of the most prestigious art schools in Canada: Toronto Arts Academy (TAA). Renowned for producing some of the country's best and most successful artists, TAA boasts a remarkable 90% graduation rate of students who either become famous or leave a lasting legacy. The academy offers a wide range of disciplines, including music, drama, culinary arts, and even tech, making it a hub for creative minds.
Although Emerson is undeniably talented in visual arts and enrolled in TAA's art program, his true dream is to become a famous musician-a singer-songwriter with a voice that resonates with the world.
Throughout the school year, Emerson embarks on a journey of self-discovery, facing challenges and pursuing his goals while growing closer to an unlikely group of friends. He unexpectedly becomes a part of a band and soon finds himself tangled in romantic feelings for not one, but two of his fellow bandmates. As he navigates this emotional turmoil, Emerson begins to rely on a surprising new friendship formed between his bandmates: the school's queen bee and a genius hacker. Together, they devise a plan to help Emerson transfer from the Arts Program to the Music Program.
What follows is a rollercoaster of risks, mischief, and passion as the group of misfits strives to make Emerson's dream a reality-no matter the cost, even if it means risking expulsion. Will Emerson confront his fears and misunderstandings about love? Will this unlikely group of friends achieve their wildest ambitions? And, in the end, will love be determined by fate-or by the choices they make with their hearts?
