Not so long ago, humanity fought the gods above them. The war against the Ethereals was long and bloody, and only the discovery of magic saved humanity from total annihilation. With the fusion of magic and technology, they clawed their way to a stalemate; in time, the war was over. Humanity had secured their freedom...or so they thought.
The Ethereal War changed life on Earth forever. The world is now plagued by glyphstorms-- constant, magic-infused dust storms that drive those who linger too long to insanity. Traveling within them is thought to be impossible, and the only shelter comes in the form of magical shield domes over humanity's cities. Progress is rapid, yet isolated to pockets of civilization. In the same world where some people thrive, many others struggle, their spirits kept alive only by the hope of a better future. But the future is uncertain; until humanity can discover the secrets of shield tech and brave the storms that divide them, they will never be truly free.

This is a collection of short stories that take place within Solace, a fictional science-fantasy setting I have been working on since January 2025. This is not the mainline story, but may involve side plots, alternate perspectives of story events, etc. Basically this is my way of getting back into writing on Wattpad and having a catch-all for any short stories related to Solace. This will be updated as I go, and I'd love to hear feedback!

Project: Solanum
History called it the Great Hysteria. The Solanum strain of SARS-CoV-2 didn't just sicken the world; it fractured its mind. While most suffered a severe respiratory illness, a small percentage were afflicted with a terrifying neurological degradation: violent aggression, followed by a vacant, catatonic state. Society's fear, once directed at a virus, was now aimed at the infected-the confused, the aggressive, the lost souls shambling through silent cities. We didn't collapse from the plague, but from the terror of each other. A millennium later, in 3035, the scars of that panic are etched into our DNA. But now, we have a key to undo it. Project: Solanum is not a mission of prevention, but of redemption. Our team will travel back to the pandemic's peak, armed with "Aetheris," a miraculous mRNA vaccine that can be delivered directly to the bloodstream. It doesn't just create immunity; it hunts the Solanum virus in the brain, reversing the neurological damage and pulling the infected back from the brink. Our mission is simple: cure the past to save the future. But how do you heal a world that has already learned to fear its own? The real virus we must fight may not be Solanum, but the primal panic it unleashed.
Remains of Humanity
After a nuclear war nearly in 2150 the whole Earth has become uninhabitable for humans. There are some major cities which are still running but have very scarce resources such as food, water and oil. There are tall, thick walls protecting people from the outside world, surrounding the whole city and there is a ceiling, blocking the radiation from seeping in as air is filtered through the roof. The year is now 2205 which is the beginning for Earth to become how it was before. There are a group of people called The Warriors who go out and try to look for resources, facing death daily. A seventeen year old boy tries to steal food for his friend, he gets caught and is sentenced to death. The only way he could get out is if he joined The Warriors to search for a mythical jungle which is rumored to be flourishing in food and water. The journey is going to be very dangerous and death can come at any corner. There are bandit clans, somehow surviving outside of the walls and new types of animals unseen from humans that they didn't know existed. He will meet new friends, make some enemies and will be manipulated to do some really idiotic things, will he survive the journey and become a hero? Or will he die anyway?Complete
Our Conscious Fields; What is living?
Slow paced narrative set in a world awakened to panpsychism and innate abilities following the fall and rise of society. A gentle approach to world building with a bit of humor, romanticism, and just enough hints of drama without going into it. When everyone writes about how it could all go wrong or what happens after it does; who wants to read about what happens if it just goes right for once? Still conflict and drama but, the hard work is already done. Now you just get to see a glimpse of what happens in a reality where it all works out. Bestial Planet
I'm an artist with words, not book covers... Android Captain Lancieta Steegle, and an engineer from Earth named Mannie end up relying on each other for more than survival when a war is thrust onto the people of Earth. In a desperate attempt to deal some kind of blow to the Halgred, the Andromedian collective okayed a Shadow Operation to attack the Halgred Homeworld. The weapon was illegal, a bio-weapon designed to sterilize and weaken their almost otherworldly physiology. When this weapon is instead redirected to Earth by the Halgred King, Draconisis, those whom survive undergo a change. As they wake up, the people of Earth are greeted by horror of their new animalistic physiology, and for some, unimaginable abilities. The 20 or so surviving Androids of the once thousands-strong crew of the Dreadnought-Class battleship do their best to make amends and help the humans of Earth adjust to their new Bestial Planet and the even more dangerous intergalactic community. This story is "Complete" as in the last chapter was written and it's gone through about 3 re-writes and 4 rounds of editing since. Very few stories are ever finished, as we know, because there's always something we think can be or should be changed. However, I've learned that the best I can do is get it to the point where I feel comfortable with someone else reading it. Otherwise I'd never have posted anything anywhere.Complete
