Originating from the Village of Uptine, Marissa never had it easy, eventually swapping country parks and mini markets for the tavern and some stability. She wasn't raised as such, having to figure things out for herself at a young age- hidden in the shadows of her hometown and the scrapes and scratches of a fractured childhood.
A girl with a sharp tongue, strange hobbies and an ear for drama, finding solace in a small tavern in Whedon. A place where the jukebox plays Queen on repeat and the tenants gave her a strange sense of family.
This is the story of the girl who learned to turn sadness into sarcasm, grief and loss into language and very slowly begins to understand what kind of a monster she could become.

She finds some answers but they lead to more questions. Alex's were-hybrid heritage has finally caught up to her. There is no guarantee that she will survive what she considers Fates joke. The transformation turned out to be a long painful process. Her were-heritage demands that she claims Beth as her own. She is almost powerless to stop it or to make her own choice.
