CeeCee is a daughter of Hecate and she has never been able to have someone to look out for her, until Percy Jackson saved her from being killed by her former friend, Luke Castellan. After being hunted by Hera her whole life, CeeCee had thought that she was doing the right thing by joining the Titan's side. But after not killing Percy Jackson, Kronos tried to kill her, not recognizing CeeCee anymore, on the Princess Andromeda. When Percy brings CeeCee back to Camp Half-Blood, she is blamed for Beckendorf's death and hated by everyone in camp except her sister Lou Ellen, Will Solace and her adoptive siblings Percy and Annabeth.
When Percy goes missing, Annabeth and CeeCee are both worried out of their minds.

Leo Valdez has no idea why his best friend doesn't remember him, but he does know that it most be somehow his fault, like everything else.

Leo and CeeCee start to become friends, Leo helping CeeCee stop blaming herself for Beckendorf's death and CeeCee helping Leo stop blaming himself for his mother's death. But they start to notice that their friendship might become more than that.
