Autobots Nightbeat and Deep Cover are reluctantly paired together to track down the source of an outbreak that kills Cybertronian lifeforms and then reanimates their dead bodies. Several Cybertronian outposts throughout the galaxy have been decimated by the outbreak. One Cybertonian holds the answers to salvation... but she is already dead.
  Trapped in a quarantine zone with time for a cure ticking away, Nightbeat and Deep Cover have to learn to work together to save a band of survivors, find the parties responsible for the outbreak and then evacuate the fallen city with a cure before they themselves join the ranks of... the infected.
