Ethan, an ordinary high school student, harbored a secret crush on his childhood best friend. Mustering all his courage, he decided to confess, hoping for a fairy-tale ending. Instead, his world came crashing down. In front of their entire school, his confession was met with harsh laughter and a brutal rejection: "You're too ugly and fat for me." Humiliated and heartbroken, Ethan fled, the echoes of ridicule ringing in his ears.

But just as despair threatened to consume him, a mysterious holographic screen flickered into existence before his eyes: "First Quest Completed! Confess and Get rejected! System Requirements completed, system acquired!" The screen announced the arrival of "The Glow Up System," rewarding him with an SSS-Rank Talent in Piano. His next major quest was vague: "Wait until summer for further information." More immediate, however, was the activation of the Daily Quest System, promising random rewards-money, talent, or assets-for completing demanding physical tasks: "100 Push-ups, 10Km jog, 100 Sit-ups, 100 Pull-ups!"

Convinced he was hallucinating from the shock, Ethan rushed home, only to discover his mother saw nothing. The system, it turned out, was visible only to him.

Their first meeting couldn't have gone worse - a spilled cup of paint on Pond's notes, a sharp comment, and a glare that could kill. The teasing glances turn into real smiles, fake dates start to feel like something more, and late-night study sessions blur the line between acting and honesty. Pond begins to see beyond Phuwin's guarded attitude - the warmth in his laugh, the gentleness in his art. And Phuwin starts to notice the real Pond, the one who hides his heart behind sarcasm and science. But every lie has an expiration date. When Phuwin learns that it all began as a game - that his feelings might have been built on a lie - the fragile connection between them breaks. Pond is left standing in the silence he created, realizing too late that the person he used to provoke just to get a reaction... has become the one person he truly wants to protect. It all seemed perfect to me, but there was something else deep down inside this stranger. "Why are you here?" I stood on my toes and tried to look taller compared to him. He rose an eyebrow. "My sister, she's here." He paused, "Somewhere." "Oh," I frowned and look to my shoes. "Why are you here?" I felt his breath on my forehead. "Me?" I placed my finger on my chest. I nodded and looked up to meet his gaze. It was hard not to get lost in his eyes. Beautiful. "I need space," I began, but I didn't know how to finish, I sighed. "To find myself."

I am a top system who helped you, and now you will be going from world to world to complete quests and-] The system was cut off from its listings as Starfire laughed. "Really?~ That sounds like a lot of fun. I accept!" She said with a grin that took the system aback. [But I didn't even...] "Mhm?" She rose a brow and the system just went silent, deciding to sulk in its mind instead. {She didn't even allow me to tell her the reward she gets after...} If it could, it would have gone to a dark corner in the space to crouch there and sulk. {I couldn't even brag about myself and how powerful I am to bring her from the dead...} ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Join Starfire as she journeys on... just for fun. Oh, right, I almost forgot! The "Head" is trying to get her to attain something, and an amused stalke- spectator appeared who might be her friend or foe. #1 jail #1 fight #1 criminal *** "Don't take it personal, I just like to play it safe, you know." He said, crouching down in front of me to tie each of my ankles to the chair. I couldn't move at all, especially after he duct taped even my waist to the chair. I watched him examine his work whilst he rubbed his beard and then a slow grin creeped onto his face. He bent down and put one end of the duct tape on my damn nipple, went around the chair again and ripped it off. He put the other end on my other nipple and I felt my cheeks heat up in humiliation. "Just to make sure you don't get cold again." He looked at me, his smirk slowly fading again. I gave him a hard stare. His hand reached out and fixed the glasses on my nose. Then he turned the chair so, that I was looking at the couch. He sat down, arms spread out on the back rest of the old leather couch, his eyes fixed on me again. "And now we're gonna talk." *** Belle Valery was a hardworking and rather unpopular law school student. She was almost done with school, had a structured daily schedule that consisted of waking up, going to school, going to the local library and study until she got a headache. She would walk home at night and go to sleep immediately. For almost three years that was all Belle knew and she was hoping to get her degree without further complications. But hope often differs from reality. Especially when her neighbourhood was suddenly on lockdown, because an escapee was on the loose. Belle didn't expect to one day wake up and find said escapee peacefully sleeping in her room. She didn't expect to scream and wake him up. And she didn't expect that morning to be the beginning of their incredible, yet a little complex love story. But life is always better unplanned and unexpected. "The ex jailbird and the lawyer, what a fucking pair."

Reluctantly, I turn back and look into his eyes and flash my fakest smile. "So, Amy, tell me, do you think I'm an intelligent being?" I want to respond, "No." But I get he's asking in general if he can be categorized as part of the intelligent human species. "Well, being part of Homo sapiens, yes, you're an intelligent mammal," I say. He smiles at me. He continues, "I'm glad to hear that. Now, how can you be sure I'm conscious, Amy? What if I'm actually just a super hot AI built by the Russians?" How can someone be so full of it? Amy Brooks, a brilliant and ambitious undergraduate student from the United States.
