Nari Hernandez has lived in Mexico with both of her parents until she was 6 years old when her father Héctor Herndanez died of a brain cancer and so her mother Lim Bora decided to just go back to her birth country South Korea and took Nari there with her. But things changed for Nari once they arrived in South Korea because Bora started becoming very busy to even spend some time with her own daughter, and Nari had a really hard time making friends growing up because they'd judge her for being half-Mexican. So once she met her ex-husband Kim Hwan, she thought he loved her but it turned out he didn't because he was more into the money and so when he married Nari, he just lazed around and didn't care enough that they had a child together. That's when Nari struggles after she divorces Hwan as well as gets fired from her job as an accountant and lives with her mother which she doesn't want to for too long cause she wants to live independently, until when she enters the Squid Game does she meet a gambler by the name of Seong Gi-hun and make friends who accept her for who she is... but what happens when she loses them during the games? Also will she survive along with Gi-hun?! If so, what will happen?!

I don't own Squid Game, because it belongs to Hwang Dong-hyuk.

Counts Total words: 120,757 Average words per chapter: 1,589 Amount of chapters: 76 ~~~ Y/N is a girl from America who recently moved to South Korea. She's just getting settled in when she meets an interesting salesman. He tells her that she can play games for money. Making a little money won't hurt... or will it? She'll find out when she decides to join the games. She may also find more than wealth and death in the walls. Maybe she'll find love. This story is a slowburn that includes some enemies to lovers themes/undertones. The reader is female! ~~~ NOTES/ANNOUNCEMENTS/WARNINGS: When Y/N is in the games, I basically follow everything in Squid Game Season One, but I changed a few quotes and events to better suit this book and the inclusion of Y/N. The only trait I have assigned to Y/N is her player number: 055. You can imagine something else though! It won't be very important later on. Some possible triggers including: recurring PTSD, grief, mental breakdowns, drinking, hangovers, very brief sexual assault, detailed sexual assault, etc. More time-specific warnings will be present with the start of each chapter. No warnings = nothing I think will be particularly bad. There's strong language and constant mentions of death as almost this entire story is hosted in a facility that runs death games. A Betting Game in which Instead of Horses...it's Humans... Lives at Stake at Every Passing Round A Life Sacrificed, More Money Earned 6 GAMES - 456 PLAYERS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PLAYER 83- Just another poor soul risking his life to be rich...or is he really. Not Everyone knows Everything Is PLAYER 83 really just a random player destined to lose his life... or ... something more. Don't Judge A Book by it's Cover People have Secrets. Some, Glaringly Obvious. And Some, Will Never See the Light of Day ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Writing this just a few hours after watching squid game. I'm just another person wanting to add my own character in a narrative that is already a masterpiece. Warning: Major plot change Basic squid game warnings No romance...unless...nah just kidding...no romance... Thirsty people Based of the Dub version (does that change anything?) ~~~~~~~~~ Note from future me: I just realized how shit this fanfic I made is..... I ain't gonna edit it cuz I'm lazy, but this comes as a warning to readers. I didn't follow the "show, don't tell rule".... I've been researching a bit about how to make good stories and rereading parts of this story made me cringe. The dry-boring-unnecessary begining; basically unusual out of nowhere obsession; a whole effing back story in one chapter that is sorta generic; OP mc; also sloppy writing.... Anyways... This comes as a warning. Thankyou for the people who read this fanfic til the end, especially to those who even voted for this. Also- um amazed about the fact that Squid game still has fanfic readers even tho it's no longer as popular and hyped as when it came out.

Don't Give Up on Me Now ~ Jun-ho x OC

21 parts Complete Mature

Riley was desperate. In the heat of a moment, she had booked herself a flight to South Korea, with the intention of staying. She used up all her savings, but when she ran out, she got into more and more debt. Until a hot guy in a suit approached her. He spoke to her in English, offering money in exchange for a couple rounds of a game. ~~ Jun-ho has been looking for his brother. He's been searching for a couple of days, only finding a small lead. When a foreign girl appears at his front door, asking for some clothes and food in broken Korean, he has no choice but to figure out the source of all this, and if it may tie to the disappearance of his brother. But as they work together to investigate, he develops feelings for her. But will he have enough time to let her know before one of them loses their life in these dangerous games? ~~ All of the characters besides Riley belong to Netflix. The plot is similar but may derail to my discretion. All dialogue will be in English, and anything said in Korean will be italicized. Please keep in mind that I do not speak Korean, so I will not attempt to use their language. Triggering topics in the book! Sexual assault, harassment, and other topics will be covered. Read at your own risk. Completed/Hiatus - 03/22/2025
