When a quiet storm rolls through the night, Luke doesn't expect anything more than a restless sleep. But when a newborn calf wanders from the barn and curls up beside his chest in the dark-terrified, trembling, and alone-everything changes.

She doesn't just want warmth.
She wants him.

Now, with her tiny spotted body snuggled into his bed, and her heart wrapped tightly around his own, Luke discovers something he never saw coming:
Healing, comfort, and a kind of love he didn't know he needed.

Through sleepless nights, thunder-filled mornings, and days that feel just too heavy to carry alone, Luna is always there-nuzzling into his arms, whispering through soft moos and silent company:

Forever and always.

A story of softness, safety, and the powerful bond between a boy and the calf who made his heart her home.

Leo is quiet, careful, and always watching the exits. Maddie is loud, steady, and impossible to ignore. Their connection isn't instant-but it's real. And when life starts to unravel, it's Maddie who stays. Even when Leo pushes her away. Especially then. This is a story about falling in love for the first time when your heart is still learning how to beat. About finding safety in someone else's hands... and daring to believe you deserve it. Story Snippet: ---- Then her voice floated out, light and casual: "Leo?" He looked up. The door cracked open a little, steam curling out, and Maddie peeked through-cheeks flushed from the heat, water dripping from the ends of her hair and trailing down the slope of her collarbone. She wasn't holding a towel. She wasn't really holding anything. Just leaned in the doorway, chin tilted up, the corner of her lip quirked slightly. "Can you grab my towel?" she asked, almost too casually. "I left it on the bed." His heart stuttered. "Uh-yeah. Yeah, of course." He scrambled up. "And my clothes? The ones I left out." Her voice lowered just a little, almost teasing. "Also... do you have a zip-up I can borrow?" He found himself nodding before he could think, already pulling the folded towel into his hands, then her clothes-still neatly laid out like she'd planned it. He grabbed her skincare pouch from the nightstand too. Last thing she'd want was to forget that. Then he paused at his duffel, rifling through until he found one of his hoodies. The grey one. Oversized. Definitely too big on her, which suddenly made his brain short-circuit even more. He knocked lightly on the doorframe. "Got everything." "Come in a little," she murmured from behind the door, cracking it open just an inch more. "Just... don't look." ---- - Content Warnings: emotional abuse, coercion, trauma recovery, PTSD, healing after SA - 70,000-210,00 words in total - BOOK 2 IS CONFIRMED!!!!! Will Scarlett be able to keep her past away from Lucas or will it come and hurt them? *************************************************** "Scarlett wake up. Scarlett please wake up" I opened my eyes when I felt someone shaking me. I saw Lucas standing in front of me looking at me. I lunged forward holding on to him so tight. I cried so hard because that felt so real to me. "Hey it's ok I got you" Lucas said sitting down and pulling me so that I was on his lap straddling him. He said soothing words so that I would calm down. He also was playing with my hair and it was making me stop crying, But I was still scared out of my mind. Lucas pulled back and put me back into bed. He kissed the top of my head and went to leave but I stopped him. He looked down at me. "Please stay" I whispered not believing that I just said that. "Ok" he said as he got under the covers. He pulled me closer to his chest and only then did I realize he dose not have a shirt on. Breath Scarlett there's just a really hot guy in your bed no need to worry. "Go to sleep I'll be here" that made me feel so much better some how. I felt safe with Lucas. I must since I asked him to stay with me. I don't know what it is but I know that he will never hurt me.
