Genre: Sentimental drama, slice of life, music, psychological introspection.
Inspired by the famous manga of Ai Yazawa.
Plot:
Ren Honjo, former guitarist of a famous rock/punk band that broke up at the height of success, now lives in a gray and almost anonymous Tokyo. Few contacts, and a session player contract that keeps him in a recording studio more for habit than inspiration.
Everything changes when, by chance, he meets Ayame Satō, a girl he met many years ago - before all that happened.
At the time they were young, much more immature than they wanted to admit, and had hurt themselves without even knowing it.
They had never really been together, but something between them remained unfinished, like a song left in the middle.
Now Ayame works in an accessories shop as a saleswoman and is trying to get her life back together.
It's rational, practical, but there is a weariness in his eyes that Ren recognizes.
Both are looking for a quiet way to start over, without asking too much of fate.
Between small hidden cafes, sudden rains, empty stations and night recordings, the two begin to reconstruct a link made of details: a message at the end of the day, a forgotten song, a walk without saying anything.
It's not a love story.
Not at first.
It is a story of two people who learn to look at each other without judging who they have become.
But when Ren is asked to return to the stage - not with his old band, but as an author for a young emerging singer - he finds himself faced with a difficult choice:
return to the world that destroyed it to try to say something true,
or stay in the shadows and do not risk anything.

Story inspired by the famous manga of Ai Yazawa.
Play it safe. Push people away. Don't take risks. Don't try hard. Keep your standards low. Those things are to guarantee you an easy life.
But there was one time. One time you mindlessly broke that rule. You had broken one of the biggest rules in your book.
And oh how bad you broke it.
Don't fall in love.
Ayame Yamamoto lives a not-so-ordinary life, and it gets even crazier when she meets the Karasuno's volleyball club.
