Elowyn was born and raised on Outpost 36, one of many who defended the Wall against the Nightstalkers, animals that had been twisted and transformed into monstrous creatures that had no place under the light of Nylah. Nightstalkers had almost consumed Estrad centuries before but had been beaten back and held at bay by the Outposts. Her father was the latest in a long line of Knight commanders, and her brother Vaelen would one day take his place. Elowyn, however, was to follow in her mother's footsteps as a healer.
