William has always been Est's childhood friend-the wide-eyed boy who used to trail after him, eight years younger and endlessly curious. Est grew up babying him, being overly protective, watching him like a little brother who somehow felt like part of his own heart. William was everyone's baby-not just his family's, but Est's too.

They grew up together, their families bound by friendship for two generations. But time changes people, and suddenly, William isn't a baby anymore. He's grown-taller, sharper, quieter-and Est doesn't quite know what to do with the strange shift in his own feelings.
