Atlantis is a city on the edge of collapse - not just politically, but metaphysically. After the Merge shattered the boundaries between worlds, Earth became a patchwork of broken realms, corrupted magic, and species that were never meant to coexist.

Elias Ashcroft doesn't remember dying - only that he woke up in a grave, wearing a body that used to belong to someone else. Now he haunts a coffee shop run by immortals, flirts with women who could shatter mountains, and tries not to let his necromantic instincts do all the talking.

When a strange boy named Herath arrives with a familiar Essence signature and no understanding of his origins, Elias and his unlikely allies - Maria the undead machinist, Arietta the Draken terraformer, and Jack-Jack the too-helpful goblin - are dragged into a conspiracy that ties their pasts to the future of the planet itself.

Ashcroft Industries wants a soul-bound weapon. The Citadel wants silence. Malandra wants answers only Elias can provide.

But Elias?
He just wants coffee.
