It all started with a favor.

Yvonne-idol, trendsetter, and maybe the only person Wynston Lauren ever actually listens to-needed dancers for her comeback stage. Wynston, bored out of her mind in her family's Hacienda and desperate for a reason to escape the walls of her legacy, agreed to help.

One audition. That's all it was supposed to be.

But then came Katarina.

Katarina Sarmiento, street-trained, fire-eyed, and too sharp for her own good. She didn't flinch at Wynston's last name, didn't care for her designer shoes, and definitely didn't ask for permission to speak her mind.

Their first meeting was a disaster. One glare, one sideways comment, and the air between them turned electric in all the worst ways. Wynston didn't apologize. Katarina didn't back down. And somehow, neither of them could look away.

Now, with Katarina on the official dance team and Wynston lingering around the studio "for moral support" (according to Yvonne), things only get messier. They bicker, they clash, and they can't seem to be in the same room without someone throwing a look or a line too sharp to ignore.

But Yvonne knows better.

And when she sets up a quiet dinner between the two-under the guise of team bonding-their usual verbal sparring takes a different turn. Softer. Quieter. Still awkward, still tense... but maybe a little less angry.

Now something unspoken sits between them.

And no one knows what it is.

Not Naomi, not Gabriella, not even Wynston herself. But the glances are different. The silence stretches longer. And suddenly, the girls who were supposed to be background characters in each other's lives start lingering in ways that feel harder to brush off.

Katarina was never supposed to matter.

Wynston was never supposed to stay.

But the studio had other plans.
