Your eyes avert upwards to meet with the eyes full of green and life, deep with knowledge and memories you both share. He's taller than before, still shorter than Katsuki but packed with muscle he didn't have before. Emerald green hair that's shorter than before, but just as messy. You can tell Izuku had tried to neaten it up, only to give up because you know how stubborn it is.
Izuku bites his lip-a nervous habit-and gives you a small wave. "H-hello."
His voice is shaky, and it's a tad deeper, and no longer as naive-sounding as before. In front of you, the World's Greatest Hero is trembling, hanging onto your every reaction.
You fold your hands over your chest, swallowing. "Hello."

All he could see was a mop of familiar dark green hair pulled into a ponytail, but he was almost sure he knew who it was. He pushed out those thoughts and continued smashing robots. For once he wanted to be wrong. He didn't want it to be her. He had done such awful things to her. He didn't want the guilt to come back. But his suspicions were proved after the U.S.J. attack, when all of class 1A was forced to check in with Recovery Girl when he saw her. Izuka Midoriya.
