A Note from the Author

This story is a heartfelt tribute born out of reverence, imagination, and deep love for the timeless epic, the Mahabharata. It is not intended to harm or disrespect any tradition, belief, or cultural sentiment. I hold every character of this sacred epic in the highest regard, especially Draupadi, whom I deeply admire and spiritually revere.

What you are about to read is not a retelling, but a "What if"-a reimagination woven from a place of devotion and curiosity. A world where roles shift, choices change, and destinies take new forms, but the soul of the story remains centered in Dharma, honor, and love. This universe is an extension of my admiration for Draupadi, placing her not in the shadows of fate but at the center of it-where her voice is heard, her choices are honored, and her journey reclaims power.

This is not history, nor scripture-but a work of fiction inspired by mythology, shaped by emotion, and offered in respect. Enter this world with an open heart and see not just the characters you know, but what they could have been, in another life, another time, another turn of destiny.

With love and respect,

Falling In Love - Dwaparyug (Coming Back In 2026) by writes_shree_
21 parts Ongoing Mature
In a world where time bends and destiny weaves its own mysterious patterns, eight sisters from Kalyug - modern, spirited, curious - find themselves unexpectedly thrown back into the ancient and divine Era of Dwaparyug, the time of the Mahabharata. As they step into the grand courts of Hastinapur, the sacred lands of Kurukshetra, and the majestic halls of Indraprastha, they come face to face with legends they had only read about in scriptures: the valiant Pandavas, the wise Krishna, the mighty Bhishma, the fierce Karna, and the misunderstood Duryodhan. But this is not the Mahabharata you know. What if one of these sisters is none other than Mahalakshmi herself, incarnated without her own knowledge, drawn by cosmic design to restore the balance of fate? What if the infamous Dyut Sabha (the game of dice) still happened, but Duryodhan was not the mastermind behind it - what if he, too, was a noble-hearted prince, caught in the web of palace politics? What if Karna, instead of being torn between loyalty and dharma, stood firmly as a royalist, adopted by bhishma & the only way to tie pandav & kaurav In this twist of imagination, love blooms across time, as the sisters' modern hearts connect with the ancient souls of the epic's heroes. Bonds of love, respect, rivalry, and sacrifice are tested across centuries. This story is purely a work of fiction, a heartfelt tribute and imaginative reweaving of the epic Mahabharata. No disrespect is intended toward the original scripture, its divine characters, or the beliefs surrounding them. If you're sensitive to fictional reinterpretations, you may kindly choose to skip this. For those ready to dive into the depths of this reimagined tale, I invite you: step into the ocean of this book and discover a Mahabharata where fate itself gets a second chance. Words-once spoken-can only be forgiven. Their irreversible weight has always made the oldest caution the young, lest they carry regret as their ancestors did. Alas! No one heeds this lesson until it is too late. And amidst the marbled halls of Indraprastha, where love, duty, and ambition entwine, a new precedent quietly unfolds: Where promises are fulfilled at the cost of pain: "I cannot promise a world without bloodshed, Abhijishya. But I can promise you this-wherever I go, I will first seek peace. I will extend a hand before I draw my sword. And if war must happen, I will fight so that it ends quickly and with as little loss as possible." Where vigilance and mercy intertwine: "Order without respect descends into tyranny, and tyranny breeds the very rebellions we are bound to prevent." Where will is more stubborn than destiny: "I refuse it. I refuse to stand by while they tear her apart. And for that, if I have to lie, deceive, betray any other, I will. I require no divine protection." Where power fans greed, and greed kindles fury: "Let me see who dares come for you." Where a woman grasps the weight of royalty, and finds her might radiates most fiercely in the most vulnerable moments. Dhruvi Maa - Rajneeti Matrika - Māyin Turn the pages of Vac and witness a woman's ascent and undoing, her battles fought behind doors, as she challenges destiny itself and reclaims what it means to be a warrior within the halls of the palace. --- Book II of Smriti Samprajanya Series.
