The Alpha's Mark

He's so close, I can feel the weight of his hatred pressing into my skin.

"I wouldn't stop. Not until you couldn't take me any longer." His gaze doesn't fall to my body. Instead pins me, as effectively as his hands would. "I would deny you, make you cry, all while you begged for more. Do you understand?"

"I do," I whisper, pressing my back harder into the wall.

His eyes shutter, his control slipping. "So please, for the love of the goddess, walk away from me. Free me from this torment."

Aesira is the Alpha's gift, given to him as a gesture of political good faith.

However, there is more to her presence in her enemy Alpha's pack. Touted as a gift, she is actually a weapon, tasked with obtaining the Alpha's mark.

Once he marks her, he dies.

But once Aesira arrives, she realises her task is more difficult to complete than she thought. While he takes her as his wife, he will only mark one female - his mate, his true love.
