After an invasion from an unstoppable alien empire left the globe in ruin, Pine, a former soldier who was at Site Zero of the cascade, finds himself trying to make his way through the infinite wastes of what once was while battling the perceived guilt of having failed to prevent the end of the world.
Author's Note: While this is a Half-Life AU, it's written in a way where you do not need to have played the games to understand what the story is about. It's extensive in its explanations of concepts and creatures. That being said, some elements may be more enjoyable if you are a fan of the franchise.

But, as it turns out, it wasn't a meteor, but a pod containing a watch that, once stuck upon your wrist, could turn you into any alien you want. Needless to say that my life went uphill from there. I traveled across the galaxy, saved it from blowing up. Fought a giant alien, AS a giant alien. Stopped a race from destroying the universe. Blew up my watch. Got a new one. Dated a tennis player, and broke up with her. Fought a giant alien, as a giant alien AGAIN, this time in Tokyo. Killed an interdimensional demon along with my archnemesis. And made friends with a Slimebiote named Skurd. Now me and my friends are unlicensed heroes who defend the world from destruction. Mainly because it's the right thing to do, but partially to show Union Academy what kind of hero I am now. And I can't wait to see the look on their faces." The Debt Collectors War
Ellie is a soldier in a world without governments. A generation ago, a series of financial crises caused most of the world’s governments to collapse, and left many of the people in those countries in terrible personal debt. Since then, the worst debtor nations have been under military occupation by the troops of the debt recovery corporations, and the worst debtor of all is Měi-guó, the old United States. Ellie is serving in the Afghan Police Action when she receives bad news from home. She is told the daughter she hasn’t seen in years is dead. She flies home from war, upset, to do what needs to be done, but once there she finds out all is not as it seems. Ellie’s daughter is alive and unhurt. She is being held by of one of the many debt-recovery corporations. Held, for leverage, to make Ellie do the corporation a favour. Ellie’s daughter will be returned unharmed if Ellie does as they wish. The son of a company director is lost somewhere in the wilderness of post-debt-restructuring America, and hasn't been seen for three days. The company wants Ellie to go and find the kid, and Ellie doesn't know if she can. The one rule she's stuck to all her working life is to never to go to America, but now she might have to. She will have to, if she wants to save the daughter she hasn't seen in years. Broken Boundaries
A while ago the question of what if an alien is so cute, a straight guy can't help but still fall in love depite the alien being male, came to me. And of course, the idea for a new story was born soon thereafter. This is the result, my latest novel set in the science fiction Aoyu Universe as of this writing, and the first (and at this time only) gay/bisexual romance themed story that I've written. --- During the Earth-Silth conflicts, two commanders of opposing warships played a game of chicken at one of the outer known solar systems, the result being a head-on collision and two ships fused together at the bows. After the cease fire agreement plans were made to salvage what they could from the ships and Alain from Earth was sent as part of a two man crew to recover components from the Earth vessel while a team from the Silth would handle theirs. Will the chaos from The Realm of No Light and their brother, destroy their Light and evolve them into a monster they fear-a Being of Chaos? The One Between is willing to sacrifice everything, even its identity, to find what it's looking for and a solution to end the wars. Can humanity evolve from its own destruction?
