They said joining a pirate crew would be the adventure of a lifetime. Riches. Glory. Freedom on the open sea.
Instead, I got him - a drunkard of a captain cursed with a fish-themed Devil Fruit that makes him sink like a stone the moment he touches water. Our "ship" is a half-rotted house roof we dragged to the shore with rope and blind optimism. It's barely floating.
I didn't sign up. I was blackmailed. By day one, I was knee-deep in a swordfight with a fish-man warlord, using his own absurdly oversized weapon just to stay alive. The captain was busy half-conscious and drowning somewhere behind me.
We've plundered exactly zero treasure. The only thing I've gained is a permanent headache and a lingering suspicion that I may, in fact, be the only sane person aboard.
This isn't a pirate crew. It's a tragicomedy at sea. A slow-motion shipwreck of bad decisions and worse rum.
And somehow, this is just the beginning.
Note: This is an A.I Assisted fic. I have used A.I at certain times to rewrite what I wrote to better convey a certain emotion. 95% of this fic is written by me. This is also my first real long fic.
