Jailed for their misdeeds, Deatt and Nido find themselves in solitary confinement. Locked away from his prior life, Deatt rots in a cell, desperately trying to find a way to escape. Unaware of the wound the world has suffered in his absence, Deatt finally manages to succeed. Only to gaze at a world that he doesn't fully recognize. His hopes of returning to his life as a thief slowly mold into a singular goal: endure. Broken, much like the rest, he is forced to form alliances and make decisions he would otherwise never have made. His worsening condition forces him to become a pawn in a game he was never meant to be a part of. Throwing him into doubts whether he would survive at all, and if he did, whether he would emerge the same man...or something altogether different.
