the moment I realized that not all family is home.
We shared cigarettes, childhoods, and half-true promises.
But now, I sit in silence,
learning how to walk away from the people
who made me feel invisible in a room I used to belong in.
This isn’t a story of hate.
It’s a soft kind of heartbreak—
the kind that lingers when you still hope they notice…
but you’ve already begun to heal.
