At exactly 00:00, she dies. But instead of passing on, she awakens in a quiet world suspended just beyond the living-where clocks don't tick, shadows don't follow, and time unravels like thread.

She doesn't remember who she was or why she's there. The only constant is a stranger in a dark coat who seems to know more than he says-a reaper assigned to guide her soul onward. What she doesn't know is that he once loved her in life... and he chose death to watch over her from the other side.

Desperate not to lose her again, he bends the laws of the afterlife to gift her one final day-twenty-four hours of borrowed time, each moment stretched and stitched together to help her find peace. But every second he gives her risks obliterating his own soul.
