Before Levi Ackerman became humanity's strongest, he was just a lonely little kid from the Underground. Before his powers were awakened, he met a girl who could fight, steal, and survive better than most, and he admired her for it.
They meet again one day as adults. He recruits her into his crew. Together, they were powerful.
...And they fall in love.
But when the infamous surface-backed organization offers her a way out, there is a catch: she has to go alone.
She chooses to stay.
Levi, not wanting her to give up her chance, breaks things off to protect her, to give her the life she deserves.
She disappears. The offer dies.
And then Erwin recruits Levi, Farlan, and Isabel.
Some time passes, and they meet again on the surface.
No longer what they once were, but never really over.
