The Furies, also known as the Erinyes, are goddesses of vengeance and retribution. They are depicted as female figures who punish those who commit crimes, particularly those involving murder, impiety, or violations of family bonds.
Tisiphone, the avenger. One part of the three Furies. In the ancient Greek world they were hailed as goddesses, however, this is not the case. They are divinely chosen vengance demons. Far above D'Hoffryn. They were dying mortal women chosen by their predecessor to take their place so the previous Fury can be at rest. This Tisiphone was no different. Or at least she didn't think she was.
