Barry Allen was struck by lightning, the night that changed his life forever. Little did Barry know he wouldn't be the one having a life changing experience. But before that, there was Danielle (Dani) Stone - the girl who lit up every hallway with shimmery eyelids, sarcasm in her smile, and a heart too big for her own good. He became a childhood best friend, although his was Iris. Their connection never really faded, even when time and trauma tried pulling it apart.
Danielle attended Gotham University, majoring in Cognitive Science with a concentration in Emotion, Perception, and Neural Response and a minor in Experimental Physics. Now she's returning to Central City - stronger, older, maybe a little more broken than when she left. She didn't plan on coming a couple days before the Particle Accelerator (okay maybe she didn't plan). But she definitely didnt plan falling in love with Barry Allen all over again.
As metahumans rise, Barry and Danielle find themselves drawn together by something more powerful than destiny: choice. Karaoke, battles that bruise souls, and quiet moments that scream everything they can't say outloud, they discover what it means to love in a world that's always running out of time.
