He was waiting outside the OP, there for his student who had been injured during a fight over a phone. As he sat, casually glancing at his own phone, he suddenly heard the faint sound of a baby crying. Curious, he turned toward the sound-and froze. There, outside the pediatric care unit, sat his wife with their son crying in her arms. His heart ached-it had been months since he last saw his son. His gaze shifted to his wife, gently consoling the child. Her face looked tired, pale, and completely drained. Without a second thought, he stood, tears welling in his eyes. Each step he took felt heavy, his chest tightening with every cry from his son. As he neared, he saw her clothes were faded and worn. Her feet were bare, hardened from walking-clearly straight from the farm. His heart clenched. His eyes moved to his son-he had grown so much. She was so focused on calming the baby that she didn't notice him at first. Tears filled her eyes as she held their feverish child close. He softly called her name. Startled, she looked up-and froze. Then she quickly lowered her gaze and tried to get up. He gently placed a hand on her shoulder, stopping her. She sat back down, turning her face away, quietly wiping her tears. He reached out to take their son. The moment he held him, he felt the heat-his little body was burning with fever. A chill ran through him. After all these months, seeing his child like this was unbearable. He loved his wife and son deeply, but his loyalty to his mother-and obedience to her word-always came first. Between a mother who owned his soul and a wife who held his heart, he was a man torn in a cruel war of love and loyalty. And she-she had given her all to a promise whispered beneath the sacred fire... never knowing that one day, she'd be holding her child, with nothing but a faded vow.

PAUL I cheated on my fiancée. Sophie and I were building our future. In love, happy, peaceful. Then she found a lump in her breast and I made the worst choice: I numbed my fear by sleeping with someone else. My worst mistake and my biggest regret. Now I see Sophie around town with him. She's radiant and laughing with people who actually show up. I'm trying to learn how to be a man who does. If she lets me, I'll spend the rest of my life proving I can choose her when it's hardest. If she lets me... SOPHIE I thought the promise was in sickness and in health. But he buried his fear in someone else. On the same night, I walked into a bookstore and meet the gentle giant owner who invites me to his book club full of misfits. I'm laughing again, I smile more than I ever have, I heal my heart. My ex says he can learn to stay, but my bookstore owner keeps showing up like it's as easy as breathing. I don't know what the future holds; I don't know if I'll win this battle against cancer, but I do know I'm done wasting time on people that love only when it's easy. CALLUM She came in to Rivers & Rhodes Bookstore and asked for books with happy endings only. I gave her a recommendation, an invitation, and an offer of friendship. Now, this beautiful brave woman is completely under my skin. I'm not here to win a competition against him. I'm here because choosing someone, second by second, is the only way I understand love. "A single night changed everything-now, Nikita must confront her past to secure a future for her child." Nikita, a once-promising university student, never imagined her life would take such a sharp turn. After a drunken one-night stand, she finds herself unexpectedly pregnant and utterly alone. On the day of labor, she's stranded in a private hospital with no support, and no clue who the father is-just the piercing blue eyes of her newborn son staring back at her, a haunting reminder of a night she can't forget. Afraid of facing her strict parents and the shame that would follow, Nikita chooses exile over explanation, seeking refuge with extended family. But as she tries to rebuild her life, she discovers that the family giving her shelter may be more connected to her child than she ever imagined. When past and present collide, Nikita must decide: will she keep running from the truth, or face it head-on-for her son, and for herself? Letter to my son Unako Lisolam Xelani My son, you are one of the greatest blessings God has ever given me. From the moment I first held you, I knew that you were special. Your smile lights up even the darkest of days, and your laughter brings peace to my soul. Watching you grow has been the most beautiful journey - filled with love, learning, and so much joy. I pray daily for your health, that God may cover you with His protection, strengthen your body, and guard your heart. May your life be filled with purpose, kindness, and grace. I know the world can be tough, but I pray that you will always walk in faith, knowing you are never alone. My deepest wish is that you speak with God every day - not just through words, but through your actions, your heart, and your choices. May you know Him as your guide, your comfort, and your closest friend. I pray He leads you in every step of your journey, and that you grow into the amazing man you were created to be. You are my sunshine, my answered prayer, and I thank God for you every day.
