Captain John Amadeus Hudson of the last upgraded battleship - Leviathan - was the best the Navy had to offer; however, he had to endure the most insubordinate and insufferable lieutenant known to humanity.

Lieutenant Kaitlyn Eleanor Lohan was the new Intelligence officer and part of the new Morale Initiative to keep spirits high in a war full of uncertainty. She was assigned to the U.S.S. Leviathan, her dream ship. Her only problem? She dealt with the grumpiest superior officer ever to guard the seven seas.

They were like sea and storm: they clashed and roared. Together, they created a hurricane, a violent force that destroyed everything in its wake.

But apart, smooth waters and calm winds.
Peaceful, some would say, perfect for sailing.

Yet perfection proved overrated, given Kaitlyn's sunny, creative, and sweet disposition.

And despite being the no-nonsense, cold, and meticulous Captain, John needed something or someone to keep him on his toes, especially with Soviet Russia haunting the North Atlantic because the Cold War never truly ended.

Note: My first attempt at a military romance. The story occurres in the late 1980s, so battleships remain relevant, and technology may seem archaic to some.
