The Jedi Youngling Mindi is plagued by horrifying visions of blood and death. And as she progresses in her lessons in the force they only get worse. When she sleeps, the force torments her but when she wakes, it is the first to offer comfort. Her waking hours make up for the nightmares, as she learns more about being a Jedi and spends time with the other younglings. And even though it's forbidden, Mindi finds herself becoming more and more attatched to her fellow youngling and friend, Obi-Wan.
One day Mindi finds herself ripped from the life she knew and isn't sure how she's going to keep her heart from hardening.
