The World They Made

Earth had come terrifyingly close to destruction. Just when all hope seemed lost, humanity discovered a new world-one even better than their own.
But there was one catch: they weren't alone.

The planet, called Nexus, was already home to intelligent beings who resembled humans in many ways. Despite this, Earth's desperate survivors flooded toward their one-way passage to Nexus, determined never to look back.

Upon arrival, the newcomers quickly imposed a hierarchy, declaring themselves superior to Nexus's original inhabitants. They called themselves Proprietors-a name that implied ownership.
The natives, on the other hand, became known simply as the Nexiuns.
