Who knows what year it was. Or what time it was. But there were no clocks to check. Or calendars. Everything was destroyed. There was a mix of gases lingering in the air from various buildings and cars. The sky was an indescribable mix of colors. Unmanned vehicles lay across the highways, never to be driven again. Houses and shop windows were all smashed and empty, never to be visited again. Park swings swayed in the wind where happy young children would once play. Office blocks and skyscrapers slowly crumbling from continuous years of rust and decay. There was an eerie silence. But no one was there to hear it. There would never be anyone to hear it. Because no one ever saw it coming...
