Whispers of stonehaven

A devastating sickness that ravaged the kingdom of Stonehaven caused strange powers to emerge in those who survived. What had been a plague that took the lives of many left the rest marked by abilities, both wondrous and dangerous. The royal family, desperate for an heir to solidify their rule, was granted a daughter, Thea, rather than the son they had hoped for.

As Thea grew, so did her power: the ability to control minds. This ability comes with a lot of power but is also isolating. Her father keeps her locked in the castle, keeping her away from people so that her growing power cannot hurt anyone. But one day, she sneaks off too the "other side" a wall that divides those without power and meets a boy named Felix. They become quite close, even though she is being forced to marry Liam.
