And so, the ritual began. Every morning, before the sun had fully awakened, two twin souls had risen to gaze upon their respective greenery.
One awaited the day her willow would free its coat with a certain eagerness that was otherwise impossible to come upon, for her one hope would return to her possession.
The other dreaded the morn in which his cypress should shed with the entire entity of his being, for his world's light would dim as though life had failed her completely.
