Draco Malfoy had always loved her, always watched and admired her. But he had to keep it a secret. It pained him to see her and be forced to call her a Mudblood, to mock and torment her. Oh, how he sometimes wished he could kill his father for making him do it.
This story takes place during the sixth year at Hogwarts. Hermione Granger notices how much Malfoy has changed over the summer, his gaze is lost, he no longer spends time with his friends, and most notably, instead of bothering the Golden Trio, he is avoiding them.
Meanwhile, Cormac begins to harass Hermione, but Harry and Ron don't believe her. However, someone does come to her aid, none other than Draco Malfoy.
As for Draco, he finds himself in the desperate struggle of whether to complete the task Voldemort has given him. And on the night he plans to run away or take his own life, the one person he would do anything for arrives just in time.
