Ivy Riley Anderson, or known as IRA, attends Duke University in California. She's been practically doing softball since she could walk. Duke had offered her a softball scholarship and she had taken it. Another thing that takes up her time is modeling. Her mom's made her model since she was 7. One day junior year of 24', her modeling manager had scheduled a gig with some "Banana Ball" team.

Kyle "KJ" Jackson and the team were all having jersey's sold for a sale. They were personalized with their names and numbers. Jesse wanted someone other than the boys to model these jersey's. So he had found the perfect fit, a girl known for softball and she modeled, it was a win win. Ivy had offered to bring her friends Riley Peyton Richards and Peyton Ivy Miller, yes their moms were childhood friends, no they didn't plan these names.

They were having a little team dinner with these models before the shoot so they would be familar with each other. But when Ivy walked in, KJ's head spun. But Ivy doesn't even bother to feed into it. She knows what she wants and doesn't need distractions. But KJ doesn't give up easily.

IRA didn't need any distractions especially since her newly discovered acting career was about to take off. She's been a theater kid since middle school with tons of lead roles, and her modeling manager is an acting manager. Little did Ivy know she was about to get a big time gig. Maybe its time for Ivy to realize, its alright to have someone on the sidelines, they aren't necessarily a distraction.

"she's behind the camera. he's stealing her focus." Lauren Vavasis has always been surrounded by the ocean and the game. born and raised in Florida, she splits her time between the University of South Florida softball field and the gulf coast shoreline-studying marine biology by day, framing sunsets and fastballs through her camera lens by night. as USF's starting second baseman and catcher, she's disciplined, creative, and quietly competitive-a girl who sees the world in snapshots and stolen bases. her older brother, however, lives and breathes chaos. as the head coach of the Party Animals, the Savannah Bananas' wild, show-stealing rivals, he's loud, unpredictable, and fiercely protective. especially, when it comes to his little sister. so when he lands Lauren a summer internship as the team's official photographer, he assumes she'll stay behind the lens, focused on her work. but the moment Bronson "Bronny" Balholm, the Party Animals' charismatic catcher, steps into frame, everything changes. he's confident, charming, and entirely off-limits. as the season unfolds, boundaries blur between what's professional and what feels impossible to ignore. and when the team lights dim and the crowds go home, Lauren begins to wonder if she's photographing the story or living it. now caught between loyalty and longing, she must decide whether to protect her brother's trust or take a chance on something real-even if it means letting herself be the one caught this time. because in The Coach's Sister, sometimes the best stories happen behind the camera... and the hardest hearts to capture are your own. NOTE: this story is based in Lauren's POV. i don't know if vava has a sister or not, but lets just say that he does in this story.

KK Arnold is used to speed-on the court, in the press, in her life. As UConn's quick-thinking, quick-footed point guard, everything about her is sharp, focused, and full of energy. But there's one person who moves at an entirely different pace. And somehow, KK can't stop watching her. Maya Thompson is a soft-spoken journalism student with an academic aesthetic-cardigans, ballet flats, glasses always slipping down her nose, and a tote bag full of pastel highlighters and poetry books. Assigned to cover the UConn women's basketball team for the university paper, Maya doesn't know much about basketball-but she shows up anyway. Every practice. Every game. Sitting cross-legged on the bleachers, typing away, scribbling notes in the margins of her interview sheets, or quietly reading while the players run drills. At first, KK only notices Maya because she's always there. But then she notices how Maya listens-really listens-when she asks post-practice questions. How her voice gets soft when she says KK's name. How she blushes when KK jokes with her. And how her presence, somehow, feels calmer than music, even in a chaotic gym. Their friendship begins with short interviews and awkward thank-yous. But soon it becomes something warmer. Coffee runs after practice. Maya waiting at the edge of the court with her recorder and a shy smile. KK pretending not to search the gym for her during water breaks. And somewhere between buzzer-beaters and backspace keys, a slow, soft love begins to bloom. Sweet, gentle, and full of lingering glances and after-practice conversations, Fast Break to My Heart is a cozy, college romance about finding quiet in the loudest places-and falling for someone who sees you for more than just the game.
