After an exhausting few years at the Ministry and an awkward breakup with Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger needs a change. Burnt out and stuck watching all her friends move on, she impulsively quits her job and moves to a tiny flat above Diagon Alley's newly hip arts district.

When a late-night chat with Luna Lovegood leads to an unexpected job offer at The Greenhouse, Luna and Neville's trendy coffee shop, Hermione begins her unlikely new life... as a very mediocre barista.
Unfortunately, their most difficult customer, Draco Malfoy, is less than impressed. He makes a point of complaining about every badly foamed latte, muttering to Neville that Hermione ought to be fired. But Hermione is stubborn, Malfoy is infuriating, and neither of them can seem to stay away.
