Kade is very mischievous and we get along well. But...my power isn't anything special. I can just see little creatures, what good is that?! And now my parents have decided to sent me to a school to strengthen my 'power'. I've been homeschooled my entire life and have been saved from the embarrassment of sharing my power. I already know my power sucks! I don't need a school to tell me that. But now I'm here. Just me and Kade, Against the world. ~~•~~ This story is about a hero who is very kind and outgoing and always looks out for everyone, A hero who never gives themself credit and is struggling to figure out who they really are, And a hero who once had happiness and love, and threw it all away. *Advised for but not restricted to audiences 14+, as younger audiences may be confused or lost* Forged out of the furious 30-minute typing that occurs during the procrastination stages of 2nd period, first semester of my senior year, I give to you the most insanely sane truthful lies ever: Jerold's plight. Within all of my stories, I need a character that the burdens of the world are dumped upon--like Atlas of Greek mythology, but less literal and more modern. Jerold Burhn is that character. This story starts out in random incoherence, as Jerold goes about day-to-day without a purpose, other than to await his death and divine Judgement Day. As the work progresses, the reader can gradually see that Jerold devises stories over time to pass time, voices his opinions (sorry if you disagree with them, just skim over them and move on), and gradually moves onto the brink of insanity, before the narrator refuses to give any more time towards telling the story. I call it a finished work, and when my friends look upon it and see the words and ask me why I have written this for no reason at all, I tell them that I wrote the 17,815 words because I am bored, and that there isn't a definite purpose to it. But perhaps you may be motivated to read this. Perhaps you will be interested and enjoy and read Jerold's story, all at the expense of your time. P.S. Each page is the length of a page on Google Docs. You may read it all at once or one part per day.

When I was little, my mother used to tell me stories about an ancient world that contained mystical and strange creatures -created by the gods it was supposed to divide the humans and the creatures. Her stories were mostly about brave Guardians that had the obligation of protecting the other world. This world was to be called the Portal World. As I grew up in difficult conditions I dismissed all those ideas out of my head. Tales are for children and nothing of it was true. Or so I thought. Until the day the guy I hated the most saved me from imminent death. *** Deep in my being an unbearable anger scattered itself through my body. I clenched my fists. A violent jerk started building up to my vocal cords. I gritted my teeth to keep it under control but in vain my lips began to move. "My life is not an Illusion!" The small crowd still gathered inside the café went silent as they all turned to see what was happening. I bit my lip in embarrassment. Jack slowly turned around and instantly met my eyes. "You'd be surprised", he stated with a disturbing twinkle in his eyes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you for stopping at this book. A normal girl with a normal life... until you meet the boy with blue hair... Name: unknown Age: unknown Human? Unknown How can someone live a life without anyone knowing of their existence? You don't know. But you want too. Determination fills you with a desire to seek more about this boy. There's just something about him that makes you want to know more. He meets your eye. Is a name really too much to ask? He refuses to give you one. If you keep investigating, you'll get hurt. You'll be killed. You'll regret it. It's not a warning. It's simply the truth. You've been noticing strange things going on. He's not in any records. A shotgun fire?! He has wounds that heal all too quickly. How can a boy get shot and heal by the very next day? You want to know, don't you? Then simply allow your mind to go wondering into this book and discover the secrets behind the boy who no one knows. (This book is a representation of my experiences with dating someone with depression in high school. I wrote it while we were dating, subconsciously writing him into the character Infinity. I will say that I intend to rewrite this at some point to send a better message, as I feel some of the actions in this book are unhealthy reactions to depression, that I have a much better perspective of now) [I'm also working on a VN based on this story.... If my studies would stop getting in the way]
