Lando tightened his grip on the wheel slightly.
Lando: "Fiona, do you think I'm stupid?"
She blinked, startled. "What?"
Lando: "Do you think I'd throw myself into this without knowing exactly what it means? Without thinking it through? I know what I want. And I don't care about the things I used to do. They don't make me happy anymore."
Fiona bit her lip, feeling torn.
Fiona: "It's not just about you, Lando. This is bigger than just feelings. My family, my beliefs... everything I stand for-it's not something I can just compromise on."
Lando finally pulled the car into the driveway and shifted into park. He turned to her, his expression serious.
Lando: "Fiona, I'm not asking you to compromise. I'm telling you that I want this. I want you. I want to learn, to grow, to be better-not because I have to, but because I choose to."
