Rue compared his life to a path of broken glass. Every step he took shredded him and mutilated his body and soul. Haunted by nightmares of his mother's death, he wandered the streets of New Orleans. He fought, he stole, he joined a gang. His hopes of making something from his broken pieces were slowly dwindling.
Then, others' hands helped kindle his pieces.
Now, he has a family. He has a boyfriend. His life was finally beginning.
Until one Halloween night, Rue encountered an ethereal battle between the Crescent Reaper and the Lord of Wrath. To ensure Rue's soul would not be corrupted, the Reaper did the only thing he could. He touched his skin.
Before Rue knew it, he was kneeling infront of the Holy Council surrounded by a handful of grim reapers. Thrown into a battle he no mortal should.
Now trapped between worlds, he must decide:
Take a sinner's deal and return to his life
Or take the reaper's scythe and lead the battle against the sins.
Salvation is life or death. The world is resting on a single decision.
