Across the greater United States are what we know as indigenous tribes. Less than half of those house shifters, creatures born out of resistance to the undead. Vampires. In order to keep themselves and their people safe, these tribes secluded themselves from the world.

Sitting in the Great Plains of Wyoming rest one of these tribes. A place that is also home to the Walkers. A family of four, with roots buried in the tradition and culture of shifting.

The Chief, Adam Walker, was a pure-bred shifter. A man of values and respect. A man with the blood belonging to a line of alphas. He'd been the first to fall.

His children, Katelyn and William Walker, were the last. William had been expecting his shift, the entire tribe had been. He'd never gotten the chance too. Katelyn was older, already accustomed to the shift, to the changes that occur. Yet still, too young.

They'd traced down the last of their family, finding refuge in the small town of Forks, Washington. It was there that they'd found a tribe just like them.

William had found a home in Forks, amongst the Quileutes. What he hadn't expected was to find love. To fall as hard as he did for his best-friend. Seth Clearwater. The youngest of all the shifters, and the one with the misfortune to have William Walker as an imprint.
