My eyes watched a raven-haired boy walk up the steps. 


As he spoke, he phased straight through a vending machine without even noticing. His body flickered transparent, then solidified again as he exited from the other side.


Half-ghost...

"You mentioned changing yourself if I wanted you to."


I turned to the half-ghost boy, worried he'd want me to change something about myself. 


I would If he asked me to.


Danny met my gaze, his blue eyes steady and unwavering. "I never want you to say that again."


I blinked, confused. 


"Not to me, not to anyone. I don't want you to change anything about yourself. I don't want you to become someone you're not."


I dropped my head, staring at his shoes instead of his face. It was easier that way.


I don't understand this guy.


He's so confusing.


He makes me feel weird.


He makes me feel nice.

"I like you as you are."


My breath caught.


"I hope one day you'll grow to like everything about yourself too."


I don't understand what falling in love means or how it feels... 


My mind focused on the strange feeling in my chest.
