Luna acts fast when she finds out she isn't on a park bench in the park in the London outskirts she usually takes a walk in, but in a different country, continent or even world. Maybe he is better company on this adventure than she could ever wish for. She learns how the world is infected by a mysterious virus and how high-technology has taken over. Luna Vis woke up one morning, or rather one night, to the dim light of the moon. It was a day that started like any other, but turned out unlike any other, setting off the chain reaction that set her life ablaze for a second time. For six years she had lived a new normal after her life was uprooted, but now everything was on the cusp of changing again. Almost exactly six years prior, the world as it was had changed entirely for half of the world. And over a century prior to that, the world had burned. The world burned in silver and in gold, and out of the ashes rose a phoenix: a new dawn for civilization. New cities, new ideas. New weapons. New... insurance policies. Now Luna and her friends are learning first hand what being on the front lines of a war is like. Now they are finally learning what it was the government had kept so secret for six years. Now it is all up to them, but more specifically, up to Luna to stop The Eye and the White Sand from ruining everything. The weather was certainly the only thing that was typical these days, although you'd never know it by looking around the bus at most of the kids as they sat joking and gossiping with each other just like they had before... before that day everything had changed.
