"What is it Becky?" Freen's voice was practically a whisper as she looked into Becca's silver eyes. "I don't want you to hate me..." Becky trailed off again, looking down. Freen lifted the Becky's chin with her fingers, forcing her to meet Freen's eyes. "I will never, and could never hate you. I love you Becky, you know that." Her voice trembled a little at the 'love' part, but it was true, she loved the woman as her best friend and as more. Becky took a deep breath before she licked her lips, looked back up and locked eyes with Freen. "I'm... I'm pregnant." Freen felt as if her entire world stopped and was crashing down around her. She opened her mouth to say something, anything but she couldn't make sounds come out of her mouth. Becky. Her Becky is pregnant. Her heart hurt, her head hurt and she couldn't look into Becky's eyes. Instead she stared at their joined hands, trying to make sense of this.

Rebecca's tears began to fall as she sank to her knees. "It's been a long time, baby. Too long," she said, her voice trembling. "I promised to love you and only you, and I've kept that promise. I loved you since we were seven, Freen. But I have to move on now." The weight of her words crushed her chest, but she pressed on, speaking as though Freen were there, listening. "It's not fair to her, to Jane, the way I've been living in the past. She loves me, and she deserves more than this half-hearted version of me. So this is goodbye, Freen. My last visit."
